About Diane Vella
Diane Vella is from a large military family and grew up in Southern California. Married Dominic Vella in 1980. Dominic, also a career military member of the Unites States Navy. They moved to Maine in 1991 with their three children; Dominic, Jerry and Marie. Graduated College with a Paralegal Degree and Certificate in Office Management Systems.
While in the Property Management industry in Southern California in the 1980's Diane was responsible for 950 units as a property manager and later moved into the Accounts Receivable Department and IT liaison for several financial institutions . Relocating to Newport Rhode Island Diane entered the Customer Service Department for a large grocery chain, which while challenging was also very rewarding. Relocating to Maine Diane was in the Admissions Department for a local college, apprenticed in Real Estate with the Mark Stimpson / DeWolfe organization and eventually joined one of the largest Brunswick property management company as a property manager / assistant to the CEO for eight years. Formerly leaving property management in 2008 Diane and Dominic purchased a downtown Brunswick building on Maine Street and opened Blessings: A Home & Design Store, a successful design shop in the heart of Brunswick, all the while, informally managing several properties for military friends that were transferred. In April of 2017 Diane and Dominic closed Blessings; A Home & Design Store and Diane joined Kimberley Proulx in establishing Sea Glass Rentals & Property Management LLC.
About Kim Proulx
Kim was raised in a military family and resided in Bath Maine and graduated from Morse High School. Kim currently lives in Topsham with her husband Drew, also former military, son Noah and their 2 black labs; Fenway & Memphis. Kim also has a grown son Tyler that resides in Rockland, Maine.
Kim's professional career began as a Client Care Coordinator overseeing Children’s & Families Behavioral Health Divisions to include; Processing appointments, monitoring state meetings, clients records, billing, family receptions, marketing, all human resource functions, all audits and company growth as well as provide support to COO.
Eventually leaving this company to assist a new company in the role of Children's Services Director This company was intelligent enough to utilize Kim's expertise and contacts to expand and develop their own children’s services programs. As the Director Kim established several very successful networks of services geared towards children and their families which greatly increased this firms visibility and net worth within the Behavioral & Mental Health network within the State of Maine. Kim multitasked many departments to include; Human Resources, Records Clerk, Payroll & Billing, attended all meetings, conducted / assisted all audits, and opened 2 additional successful offices. Kim eventually became the Executive Director where she was in control of the Home Care and Staffing Divisions while maintaining the Mental & Behavioral Health Divisions.
Once more Kim was hired away to do the same for a medical staffing company, where again Kim became a jack-of-all-trades. Kim once more increased this company's staff and revenue from 4 employees and 4 facilities to its current status of over 250 employees and over 40 facilities all within the State of Maine. To date Kim maintains her relationship with this company in addition to partnering with Diane Vella in Sea Glass Rentals & Property Management LLC.
Kim has many strengths necessary to develop a business from the ground up and growing them to successful ventures in their own right all translate to success for Sea Glass!
